The James Bond Complex

Hello dear listeners,
Sometimes as podcast producers risks must be taken. Risks can be fun and produce a much needed frisson.
So here goes nothing. Matt and Edgar, after several minutes of deliberation, are doing a Lee Tamahori Detour. That’s right listeners, this week the hosts tackle one of the director’s forgotten pre-Die Another Day films, 1997’s The Edge.
Tamahari is understandably a controversial figure in Bond lore, but that doesn’t mean that his other cinematic efforts lack quality. The Edge proves to be quite the jumping off pad for a plethora of topics, most notably: the inspirational Ron Burgundy, adventures in the woods, racism against bears, the memory problems that stem from sniffing coke, Jason Voorhees as a bear, guessing music credits before they appear on screen, a capsule review of The Empire Strikes Back, and naturally more DAD thoughts.
So sit back, don’t relax because you’ll want to be mindful of a bear creeping up on you, but try to enjoy the latest episode of The James Bond Complex.
Also, let us know if Matt likes this movie. The episode lasts over an hour and we still can’t tell. His opinion is very unclear.
